  Uppsala Bostadsförmedling is a regional housing agency that lets apartments on behalf of several private and municipal landlords in the Uppsala region, including Uppsalahem. The queue costs an annual fee and is open from age 18, and vacant apartments go to the person who has queued longest and meets the landlord's requirements.

  HomeQ is a nationwide housing portal where hundreds of connected landlords advertise vacant first-hand contracts. The account is free from age 18 and gives one queue point per day, but each landlord decides how the tenant is chosen, and your points are reset to zero when you sign a contract, except for short-term and student housing.

  Rikshem is a private housing company with about 29,000 apartments in various towns. Queuing is free from age 16 and each day gives one point, but in some municipalities vacant apartments are instead let through the municipal housing queue.

  Heimstaden is Sweden's largest private landlord, with about 46,000 rental apartments in towns from Malmö to Luleå. Registration is free from age 16 and gives neither a place in a queue nor points, but how long you have been registered carries a lot of weight, and your account is deleted if you do not log in within 180 days.

  Hemvist is a landlord with apartments in places such as Enköping, Uppsala, Sundbyberg and Upplands Väsby. Vacant apartments are advertised on Hemvist's own housing portal, where you log in to search.

• SUSbo · housing queue

  SUSbo (Stiftelsen Ultuna Studentbostäder) has about 400 student homes at Ultuna in Uppsala and lets only to people who study or are doing a doctorate at SLU. The queue costs a one-off fee of 225 kr, and your registration must be renewed every year by 31 May.

  Byggvesta is a private property company with about 4,000 rental homes, around 1,400 of them student apartments, in major cities such as Stockholm, Malmö and Linköping. The queue is free from age 16 and gives you one point per day in the queue, but if you miss the yearly login your points disappear and your account is deleted.

  Balder is a listed property company with over 20,000 rental apartments in Sweden, including in Göteborg, the Stockholm area, Malmö, Västerås, Norrköping and Sundsvall. From 28 October 2026 the apartments are let through Balder's own free queue on its website, where queue days count from registration, instead of through HomeQ.

• K-Fastigheter

  K-Fastigheter is a listed property company from Hässleholm that builds and manages its own rental buildings, in places such as Gävle, Västerås, Nyköping, Strängnäs and Uppsala. When tenants are chosen, existing tenants and early registrations of interest come first, and the household should normally earn at least two years' rent before tax.

  SKB (Stockholms Kooperativa Bostadsförening) lets cooperative rental apartments to its members, about 8,900 apartments in total in eight municipalities, roughly half of them in central Stockholm. Membership costs an annual fee that must be paid by 31 March, and your place in the order is counted from the day you paid.
