  Bostadsförmedlingen in Stockholm is owned by the city and offers rental apartments from more than 230 property owners across Stockholm County, including Svenska Bostäder and Stockholmshem. The queue has an annual fee and gives you one point per day; without payment your place in the queue becomes inactive, and after five months you are deregistered.

  HomeQ is a nationwide housing portal where hundreds of connected landlords advertise vacant first-hand contracts. The account is free from age 18 and gives one queue point per day, but each landlord decides how the tenant is chosen, and your points are reset to zero when you sign a contract, except for short-term and student housing.

  Heimstaden is Sweden's largest private landlord, with about 46,000 rental apartments in towns from Malmö to Luleå. Registration is free from age 16 and gives neither a place in a queue nor points, but how long you have been registered carries a lot of weight, and your account is deleted if you do not log in within 180 days.

  Sveafastigheter is a listed private housing company with just over 15,000 rental apartments in towns between Kävlinge and Boden. There is a queue with queue days only in Visby and Stockholm, while in the other towns you register interest in each vacant apartment on the company's Mina sidor, and you need to log in at least every six months to keep your profile.

  Hässelbyhem is a private landlord in the Soya Group with about 2,400 homes in Hässelby Gård, Hässelby Strand and Hässelby Villastad. Registering costs nothing and queue time does not count; instead the landlord makes an overall assessment in which your income is taken into account.
